TEACHING & LEARNING LEADERS

  • Special Education Lead Teachers: These licensed educators are case managers who ensure that scholars receive the support and resources they need to excel socially and academically. They are advocates for scholars with IEPs and their families.
  • Special Education Paraprofessionals: These critical team members provide direct services in the classroom to scholars with IEPs. They work closely with the special education lead teachers and the general education teams.
  • Core Subject Lead Teachers: These licensed teachers take leadership for scholars’ growth and learning in core academic classes
  • Power Hour Lead Teachers: These licensed teachers take leadership for scholars’ growth and learning in intervention and support classes. They supervise a team of support teachers in our supplemental “Power Hour” classes. Power Hour is a supplemental math and ELA course each scholar takes until they exceed standards and excel in the core subject.
  • Power Hour Intervention Specialists: These critical team members do not need to be licensed educators. However, we strongly encourage and support them to work toward licensure to access additional professional opportunities. They work in power hour classes to provide tutoring and support in math and ELA.
  • Art, Specials, and Electives Teachers: Some teachers focus full time on art or specials. Other teachers teach an elective course in addition to their other responsibilities.

OPERATIONS & TRANSPORTATION

  • Bus Drivers: Transportation is central to creating an equitable school. Our bus drivers transport scholars safely between home and school. They also provide other important operations support during the school day.
